RESEARCH FOCUS
Loss of cell polarity is a hallmark of cancer and other pathological processes. The focus of our research is to understand the mechanisms mediating the establishment and maintenance of polarized plasma membrane domains. In particular, we are interested in studying how protein trafficking mechanisms can contribute to the appropriate localization of key polarity proteins and give rise to epithelial cell polarization.
